We would like to congratulate Flavia Giuffra as she has just graduated with "First Class Honors" from Kings College after studying "History and War Studies". Flavia graduated from San Silvestre in 2012 after completing the International Baccalaureate program, which she performed with great success. Flavia always enjoyed her history classes and it was her school teacher who made her aware of her love for history.
"My school contributed greatly to my love for books and my eagerness for reading and writing. Mr. Tolerton, my IB History teacher, helped me discover this passion for history. I will always be grateful to him and to San Silvestre, for giving me the tools to achieve my goals. "

Verónica is a professional dancer, singer and actress who also has a Bachelor’s in Administration from Universidad del Pacífico. Verónica graduated from San Silvestre in 2003 after several successful years, not only academically but artistically. Verónica always participated in the school Plays, playing main roles in James and the Giant Peach, Cats and Fiddler on the Roof.
After graduating from San Silvestre, Verónica dedicated herself to her studies, to professional dancing and later on to the theatre, having participated in several ‘Preludio’ presentations like Cabaret, Musical 2010, Chico de Oz, Mezcla, among others.
In 2016 she obtained her first leading role as Vanessa in the play "In The Heights" (En el Barrio) and a few months after her debut she obtained the same role in the same play in Washington DC, United States. Her efforts continue to pay off since she recently accepted the great challenge of playing a leading role as Sophie Sheridan, the main character in "Mamma Mia", a presentation by “Los Productores”.
We are very proud of you Verónica!

We are proud to announce that María Belén scored the maximum points (45 out of 45) in the International Baccalaureate exams at the end of 2016.
In addition to the outstanding performance of María Belén, we are pleased to report that the average score obtained by the 31 students who took the exams is the highest so far for San Silvestre. The average of 36.2 points is a new school record and is also 5 points above the world average. Congratulations also to Adriana Salazar who obtained 44 points, an equally outstanding performance. In addition, 9 of the 31 students scored more than 40 points (28.9%) and 64.5% more than 35 points.
This group of students can feel very proud of their achievements, which compare so favourably with the rest of the world.
Well done girls!

Congratulations to Valeria Vargas, who obtained the best results in the IGCSE exams, gaining A* and A in the 10 courses she took (9 A* and 1 A). In addition to Valeria, another four students obtained A* and A in all their courses, a really extraordinary result.
It is worth mentioning that it was a great year for the students. The 80 Form IV 2016 pupils sat their IGCSE exams in 10 different courses. The exams are graded from A* to U and although G is a pass, in San Silvestre we encourage our students to obtain a C or more. Of the 835 papers that were taken by all the students, 750 gained C or more, i.e. 90%, which is an outstanding result.
In the case of Form III 2016, 63 pupils took the French exam and 50 of them obtained A* or A. These are excellent results, considering that they only prepared for one year. The results were also outstanding in Italian, with all the students obtaining C or more and 12 of the 18 gaining A* or A. Six pupils will do the IGCSE Mandarin Chinese exam in May, and therefore add one more language to their list of IGCSEs.
The fact that these wonderful results place San Silvestre above the world average once again should make us all feel very proud.
